How to register a WhatsApp sender in Infobip
To send WhatsApp from your Arino One instance you first register your number as a WhatsApp sender in Infobip. Registering creates a WhatsApp Business Account, ties your number to it, and runs Meta's business and display-name checks — the approvals that decide when you can go live and how much you can send.
This page walks through registering a sender and what each step gates.
Prerequisite: a verified Meta Business Manager. A verified Meta Business Manager is required for WhatsApp, and equally for Instagram and Messenger. If you don't have one, Meta Business Verification must be completed before your sender can be approved — Arino can assist with this separately via support. Confirm this before you start, not after registration stalls.
Choosing your number
Decide first whether you want a dedicated or a shared number. A dedicated number carries your own display name, branding and sending reputation and suits most businesses; a shared number is quicker and cheaper to start but limits how you appear to customers. Whichever you choose, it must not be active on the consumer or Business WhatsApp app — use a fresh number, or migrate an existing one. If you're unsure, read dedicated vs shared WhatsApp in Resources.
Before you register
You'll need your own Infobip account — created during onboarding on the Remix route, or already in place on the BYO route — a verified Meta Business Manager for your legal entity — required, not optional — and a display name that matches your brand. If Business Verification hasn't been completed yet, do that first: it gates approval and unlocks higher messaging limits, so prepare your business documents in advance or ask Arino support for help with the process.
Step 1 — Register the sender in Infobip
In Infobip, register your chosen number as a WhatsApp sender. This creates the WhatsApp Business Account binding between your number and your business — the container Meta uses for verification, display name and templates.
Step 2 — Complete Meta Business Verification
Verify your legal entity with Meta. This one-time review confirms you are a real, registered business and raises your messaging tier. It typically takes a few days depending on how clean your business documentation is.
Step 3 — Set and submit your display name
Choose the name customers will see and submit it for review. Meta approves names that clearly match your verified business and rejects generic names or ones implying an affiliation you can't prove. If it's rejected, align it with your verified entity and resubmit.
Step 4 — Connect the sender to your instance
Once the sender is approved, it becomes available to your Arino One instance for sending and receiving. While you are on the $50/month Arino Core connection, Arino can assist with registration and connection; otherwise you connect it yourself once your credentials are set — see connect Infobip.
After approval
A registered sender can reply freely inside the 24-hour customer-service window, but any message you start outside that window needs an approved template. Set those up next in WhatsApp message templates, then send a test from your instance to confirm the sender is live.

Frequently asked
Should I use a dedicated or shared number?
A dedicated number gives you your own display name, branding and sending reputation, and is the right choice for most businesses. A shared number is cheaper and faster to start but limits branding. See the dedicated vs shared comparison in Resources.
Can I reuse a number that's already on WhatsApp?
Not while it's active on the consumer or Business app. The number must be migrated to the WhatsApp Business platform first, or you use a fresh number.
Why was my display name rejected?
Meta rejects display names that don't clearly match a verified business, use generic terms, or imply an affiliation you can't prove. Align the name with your verified entity and resubmit.
Can Arino do this for me?
Yes, while you are on the $50/month Arino Core connection Arino can walk you through registration and verification. The sender is always registered in your own Infobip account, on both the Remix route and the BYO route, so the sender and its billing stay yours.
