Arino One for Infobip — Integration Documentation
Arino One is a conversational business operating system built on Infobip's communications infrastructure. Every customer runs their own self-owned, fully isolated instance — your data in your own database, on your own subdomain, never shared with other tenants. This guide explains how to connect your own Infobip account to Arino One (Bring Your Own Infobip), how the platform is set up, how to use it day to day, and how to resolve common issues.
1. Requirements
Before connecting Arino One to your Infobip account, you will need:
- An active Infobip account. Free trial accounts can connect, but production messaging requires an upgraded account with your chosen channels enabled.
- Administrator access to your Infobip account, so you can approve the OAuth consent screen during setup.
- An Infobip API key with messaging scopes for the channels you plan to use (at minimum: WhatsApp senders read, message send/receive). You can create one in the Infobip web interface under Developer Tools → API Keys.
- Your Infobip API base URL — the personal API host shown in your Infobip account, in the form
xxxxx.api.infobip.com. Enter the host only, not a full URL and not your API key. - A verified email address for the administrator who will own the Arino One workspace.
- Optional: a WhatsApp Business sender registered on your Infobip account. If you don't have one yet, Arino One handles Meta Business verification and sender setup with you after provisioning.
No software installation is required. Arino One is fully hosted in the EU or North America — your instance is placed in the region matching your location — and accessed through your browser at your dedicated workspace URL.
2. How to install and set up
Setup takes about five minutes of your time, followed by a provisioning window of up to 48 hours.
Step 1 — Start signup
Go to https://client.arino.one and choose "Bring your own Infobip" as your connection model. Enter your name, company, and email.
Step 2 — Verify your email
Click the confirmation link we send you. Your personal status page tracks every remaining step.
Step 3 — Connect your Infobip account
Click "Connect Infobip". You are redirected to Infobip's consent screen, where you log in (if needed) and approve the requested permissions. Approving returns you to your status page automatically. Arino One never sees or stores your Infobip password.
Step 4 — Enter your API credentials
Provide your API base URL (e.g. x1l5yg.api.infobip.com) and your API key. Arino One validates the key live against the Infobip API before accepting it, so typos and missing scopes are caught immediately. Your key is encrypted at rest and never displayed again in full.
Step 5 — Provisioning
Your dedicated, isolated Arino One instance is provisioned on your own subdomain (for example yourcompany.arino.one) with its own database. This usually completes within 48 hours; you receive your login by email, and your status page shows progress throughout.
Step 6 — First login and channel activation
Sign in to your workspace, open Operations → Communications Hub, and activate the channels you want to use. Supported channels: WhatsApp, SMS, Email, Live Chat, Messenger, Voice/WebRTC, RCS, Viber, Telegram, LINE, KakaoTalk, Zalo, Instagram, Apple Messages for Business, and Ping Me. Some channels are switched on per workspace by your account manager as part of sender setup. Activating a messaging channel enables its Templates and Campaigns surfaces automatically.
3. How to use the app
Your Arino One workspace is organised around a small set of core surfaces:
- Dashboard — live KPIs across contacts, conversations, messages, campaign performance, and per-channel breakdowns for messaging, conversational, and calling channels.
- Inbox — a unified conversation inbox across every connected channel, with agent assignment, groups, and full history per contact.
- Contacts & Groups — your contact directory with opt-in tracking, segmentation, and a built-in CDP recording every contact event.
- Campaigns & Templates — create message templates, submit them for approval where the channel requires it (WhatsApp, RCS, Viber), and send scheduled or immediate campaigns across WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, Viber, Telegram, LINE, and Apple Messages for Business, with delivery, read, and failure analytics per channel.
- Automations & Journeys — trigger-based automation rules and multi-step journey orchestration across channels.
- Modules — optional capabilities you can switch on per workspace, including Forms (form builder with hosted submission pages), QR Codes (trackable codes that open conversations or forms), Automations, Voicemail, GDPR consent tooling, and more. Enabled modules appear in your sidebar automatically.
- Ping Me (optional hardware) — a physical one-press calling button you can purchase and have shipped to you. Once paired, each device appears in your dashboard with live status, and callers reach your team through spoken greetings, voicemail with transcription, or a live WebRTC call bridge. Calling analytics appear alongside your other channels.
- Settings → Platform Connection — see your connection mode and the health of your Infobip link, re-run a connection test, and manage your API configuration.
Every workspace includes role-based access (administrators, managers, agents), a full audit log, and GDPR tooling including Article 17 right-to-be-forgotten flows with OTP-verified erasure.
4. Common use cases
WhatsApp campaign to an opted-in audience
Import or collect contacts → group them into a segment → create a template under Templates and wait for approval → create a campaign, pick the template, segment, and schedule → track delivery, read, and failure rates on the Dashboard.
Website live chat with a unified inbox
Activate Live Chat in the Communications Hub → install the widget snippet on your site → visitor messages arrive in the Inbox alongside WhatsApp and Messenger conversations → agents reply from one place, with automatic contact creation and opt-in capture.
Lead capture with Forms and QR codes
Enable the Forms module → build a form and publish its hosted page → enable the QR module and generate a code pointing at the form or directly at your WhatsApp number → submissions create contacts and can trigger automations (welcome messages, agent notifications).
One-press customer calling with Ping Me
Order a Ping Me device → pair it to your workspace → a customer presses the button and hears your greeting → the call bridges live to your team in the browser via WebRTC, or drops to voicemail with automatic transcription in your Inbox.
Automated follow-ups
Create an automation triggered by a new contact, an inbound message, or a form submission → the automation sends templated messages, applies tags, or notifies agents → runs and outcomes are visible under Automations with per-run status.
5. Troubleshooting
"Consent denied" after the Infobip screen
You cancelled the permissions screen. Restart from your status page and approve the requested scopes — Arino One requests only account/user read and message send/receive/sender read.
"Invalid state" or the connect link seems expired
Connect links are single-use and time-limited for security. Return to your status page and click Connect Infobip again to get a fresh link.
"Token exchange failed"
Usually transient. Retry the connection; if it persists, contact hello@arino.one — we can see the failing step in our diagnostics without any of your credentials being logged.
"Infobip rejected this API key"
The key value is wrong or is missing messaging scopes. Create a new API key in the Infobip web interface with the messaging scopes enabled, and check you're pasting the key — not the base URL — into the key field.
"API Base URL must look like x1l5yg.api.infobip.com"
Enter only your personal API host from the Infobip web interface. Remove https://, any path, and make sure you haven't pasted your API key into this field.
A channel is missing from my dashboard analytics
Analytics show activated channels only. Activate the channel in Operations → Communications Hub; channels marked "on request" are enabled by your account manager.
Campaigns or Templates aren't visible in the sidebar
These surfaces require the WhatsApp channel to be active in your workspace. Activate WhatsApp in the Communications Hub and refresh.
Ping Me device shows offline
Check the device's WiFi connection; the device recovers automatically after WiFi drops and updates itself over the air. If it stays offline, contact support with the receiver code shown on your Ping Me page.
Provisioning is taking longer than 48 hours
Check your status page for the current step, and contact hello@arino.one with your status link if nothing has changed.
