Your products: sell in chat without a Meta catalogue
Not every business that wants to sell in chat needs a Meta catalogue. Your products is a product library that lives entirely inside your instance: add an item with an image, description and price, and an agent can send it from the inbox a minute later.
When to use this instead of a Meta catalogue
A Meta catalogue earns its setup cost when you have a real storefront and hundreds of SKUs kept in sync with an e-commerce platform. It requires Commerce Manager, catalogue partner access, and product review.
For a law office with three fixed-fee services, a clinic with a handful of packages, or a shop with twenty items, that is a great deal of administration for very little gain. Your products skips all of it.
The two are not exclusive — you can run a Meta catalogue for stock and Your products for services, and both send from the same composer.
1. Add your products
Open Settings, Channels, Catalogue and products. The first section is Your products.
- Image — chosen from Resources. Every image on the platform comes from the Resources library, so the same asset is reusable in campaigns and landing pages rather than uploaded three times.
- Name and description — customer-facing, so write them as the customer will read them in the chat.
- SKU — optional.
- Price and currency — the currency defaults to your platform currency from Settings, Payments.
Save, and the item is visible to every agent immediately. Only Admins, Super Admins and Managers can add, edit or delete — agents send but do not set prices.
2. Send products from a conversation
In the inbox composer choose Send product, then the Your products tab. Set a quantity for each item the customer is buying; the running total appears at the bottom of the dialog. Add an optional note, keep Request payment after sending on, and send.
The customer receives one card per item — image, name, description and price — followed by a payment request for the basket total.
Keep a basket to a single currency. The order takes the currency of the first item.
3. Getting paid
Payment routing is the same as every other payment request in Arino One:
| Where the business is registered | What the customer gets |
|---|---|
| India or Brazil | Native WhatsApp Payments, paid without leaving the chat |
| Everywhere else | A hosted card checkout link sent as a message |
If you only want to showcase items, turn the switch off. The order is still created as pending and you can request payment later from the Order panel — useful when the price needs a conversation first, which for service businesses is most of the time.
4. Check it worked
The Order panel in the conversation shows the basket with status pending. Once the customer pays, the webhook flips the order to paid and a confirmation goes back into the thread automatically.
Commerce analytics counts these orders alongside catalogue orders: same revenue, same funnel, nothing separate to reconcile at month end.

Frequently asked
Can I sell on WhatsApp without setting up a Meta catalogue?
Yes. Your products lives entirely inside your Arino One instance — no Commerce Manager, no catalogue partner access and no product review. You add an item and an agent can send it a minute later.
When should I use a Meta catalogue instead?
A Meta catalogue is worth the setup when you have a real storefront and hundreds of SKUs. For a law office with three fixed-fee services, a clinic with a handful of packages or a shop with twenty items, it is a lot of admin for very little gain.
How does the customer pay?
Payment follows the same routing as every other payment request: native WhatsApp Payments for businesses registered in India or Brazil, and a hosted card checkout link everywhere else.
Can I show products without asking for payment?
Yes. Turn the Request payment switch off and the items send as showcase cards. The order is still created as pending, so you can request payment later from the Order panel.
Can a basket mix currencies?
No — keep a basket to a single currency. The order takes the currency of the first item, so mixing them produces a total that does not mean what you think it means.
Who can manage the product list?
Admins, Super Admins and Managers can add, edit and delete items. Every agent can send them. That split keeps pricing under control while leaving the inbox usable.
Do these orders appear in analytics?
Yes. Commerce analytics counts them alongside Meta catalogue orders — same revenue, same funnel, no separate reporting to reconcile.
